About Whinney Hill Farm:

Whinney Hill Farm is also known as the British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre (BTRC), and is a charitable organisation dedicated to the welfare, retraining and rehoming of retired racehorses. Situated in the countryside north of Lancaster, just 5/10 minutes from the M6 motorway junction 34, the venue hosts 180 acres of land meaning you're submerged in nature, whilst overlooking the Lune Valley with exceptional views.  Whinney Hill recognise the importance of interacting with different people from all backgrounds and walks of life, and understand that their charity to help horses can directly impact on other lives too, through community engagement. The team at the BTRC know that welcoming community groups, who may not normally get the chance to interact with horses, can give them an experience like no other where they will learn and benefit physically, mentally and socially.
