The Forest of Bowland National Landscape team are committed to exploring new ways to open up the outdoors to more people.
From organising all-terrain wheelchair walks and activities for people with dementia and their carers, to developing outdoor learning and well-being programmes and supporting hospitality businesses on their journeys to being more accessible.

- All-Terrain Wheelchair Hubs - hub locations in the Forest of Bowland where all-terrain wheelchairs can be hired for use on designated trails
- Connecting People and Nature - a project focussed on promoting nature, wellbeing and outdoor learning in the Forest of Bowland
- Days to Remember - information and resources aimed at older people and people living with dementia, alongside family members and carers
- AccessAble Business Guides - information about hospitality businesses across the area who have produced accessibility guides (via the national organisation AccessAble) and walk-through site films (information coming soon)
