These routes take you through some of the most outstanding countryside in the Forest of Bowland: Hindburndale and Roeburndale. Roeburndale West itself links into the Salter Fell track and North Lancashire Bridleway.

The new routes cross 3 farm holdings with work been carried out by local contractors who also farm in the area and funded through a combination of Environmental Stewardship, Lancashire County Council and the Forest of Bowland AONB.

30+ horse riders tested out the routes as part of a 'Sport Endurance' event held end of May 2009, with several taking the opportunity to spend a night on a field in Wray village. Plenty of food for the local midges!
