About us:
Waddow Hall is a training and activity centre owned and run by Girlguiding UK. The hall is a listed late 17th century building which overlooks the river Ribble and it lies within a 178 acre estate which includes a campsite, self catering accommodation and activity areas. The main hall is a 3 star graded hostel and holds a Silver GTBS award. The site is open to private group bookings, although for much of the time it hosts visits from Girlguiding members – Guide, Brownie and Trefoil groups.
Green statement:

Visitor experiences – all the extra touches!:
Walking - excellent opportunities from our door, including maps and walking routes
Carbon conscious – we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint through thorough energy, water and waste reduction measures
What's green about ....:
At first glance it may appear that being green doesn’t apply to older buildings, however here at Waddow we are keen to reduce its running costs and we see energy efficiency and renewable energy as a positive way to do this and save carbon at the same time. A number of energy efficiency measures have been introduced and a major investment has been made to convert the estate’s heating system from oil to wood fuel.
